Gait Analysis
THE BEST TEST YOU WANT TO TAKE
Are you tired of the same nagging injuries? Injuries that surface no matter how well you train, how flexible and strong you feel and always seem to pop up at mile 6, 9 or 15?
Or are you looking for an edge. Looking to increase your efficiency, become faster through greater technique and body awareness. Render yourself less injury prone and allow you the freedom to train hard, safely increase milage and make running more fun.
Then a Gait Exam is right for you. So much of what an athlete does to increase his strength, power, efficiciency and technique is in his or hers Biomechanics, your individual technique and form.
Our Biomechanics are all diiferent. Next time you're running in Central Park, slow down and take a look at your fellow runners. Who looks fast, who looks efficient, who out there are just "muscling throught" their runs. Notice the difference between men and woman in their stride and body positions. Its not difficult to observe who "has it " and who doesn't. But how do you put a plan in place, a plan that will target your strength and weaknesses, take into account your very personal mechanics and running ability.
A plan that will make you the very best you can be.
Well, it all starts with a the Gait exam. There is no cheating on this test and everything you wanted to know and some things you didn't will be revealed.
The session includes a comprehensive evaluation of your flexibility, strength, body type and natural running style. Any pertimnent injury history should be discussed as well as what are your strengths and weakness. What are your goals and what other activities are you doing to supplement your running.
Dr. Dan Geller will then discuss and instruct you on upping your game.
Bring your sneakers and and your running apparel and get ready to take your running to the next level.
